A Complete Sweep was started to aid the prevention of chimney fires. As a professional fire fighter with over 30 years experience, I’ve seen first hand the danger, damage and inconvenience a chimney fire can cause. There are approximately 3,500 chimney fires in the UK each year. Don’t become part of this statistic!
Master Chimney Sweep
Since becoming a chimney sweep assessing & mentoring probationary chimney sweeps on behalf of APICS has become another part of my profession.
In my role as a Master Chimney Sweep I assess & mentor chimney sweeps against APICS high standards to ensure that their skills, professionalism & competence meet the quality required to become members of APICS.

Your chimney sweep Kevin Dowey is a registered member of the Association of Professional Independent Chimney Sweeps (APICS) a benchmark for service, quality & sound technical underpinning knowledge & with over 15 years of practical hands on chimney sweeping experience I guarantee that your chimney will be cleaned safely to a high standard with minimal fuss & disturbance.
HETAS Approved
I am registered with HETAS who are the official body recognised by the government to approve solid fuel domestic heating appliances including the registration of competent chimney sweeps & installers.
It is recommended that chimney sweeping is best carried out by a HETAS Approved Chimney Sweep at least once a year.
Only following comprehensive technical training & assessment through full practical & theoretical exams can a chimney sweep become HETAS approved.
